Poker is a card game of chance with elements of psychology and skill, it’s also one of the most fun games to play. It’s not hard to get into but can be a bit tricky to master. Basic Gameplay
When a hand of poker is dealt all players are required to place a mandatory bet into the pot called blinds. These bets create an incentive for players to participate in the hand and provide a pot to win. Once all players have received their 2 hole cards a round of betting starts, with the player to the left of the dealer acting first.
The aim of the game is to have the best ranked hand and make your opponents fold their hands, this can be done by having a great bluff or just raising your stakes when you think you’re beat. Bluffing is an integral part of the game but it’s best learned after you have a firm grasp of relative hand strength.
